Exercise Today

In the past, Amwricans didn't do enough exercise, but now, there is boom in which people do more active exercise for example jogging, swimming, bicycling. The reason that people should do exercise is exercising is helpful for their health. However, in my opinion, to the contrary, too much exercise is harmful to their health.

The author says exercise makes people to live longer and it also decreases the risk of heart disease. There are many benefits. But some people have failed to keep exercising. So psychologists suggest that doing exercise in a group such as in certain programs is better than individually. In addition, exercising in their nomal lives is also needed. All of these exercises will make their body and mind healthier.

I think the most important thing to do exercise is moderate exercise because excessive exercise is not good for your health. For example, about 5 years ago I went to a fitness center, and I did too much exercise every day. And 2 weeks later, I took to my bed from fatigue. Excessive exercise will give you muscle pain and make you feel tired. In conclusion, Exercise is important to your health but the more important thing is moderation.

Summary

Seal (1997) in "what is stress" says that stress is the physical and emotion reaction to a situation or stimuli. There are some causes such as calamity, accident, and major events of life which are stressors. when we are under stress, our body and mind react to cope with stress. There are three steps to react to stressors. The first step is 'alarm reaction' which is to prepare our body from stress. And next step is 'resistance' to react about stress. The last is 'exhaustion that appear when you fail the second step. However human's reactions are different from animals in that there are various reactions for various sttuation and stimuli. Because every people has their own character.
